Just as the sea retreats just before a tsunami, so does the bankruptcy situation. In the first five months of 2020, they fell by 23 percent compared to the same period last year. For the month of May, this decline was even 32 percent. Corona loans and the slowdown in the crisis contributed to the deceptive picture of a positive situation. But one thing is certain: the bankruptcy tsunami will sweep over Switzerland. The question is not whether, but when this will happen. The mood of entrepreneurs in Switzerland is reflected in the new registrations. From January to May, the decline in the number of new businesses was nine percent. In May the figure was a full 14 percent. This decline shows that the future prospects for new companies are assessed as negative in the current situation.
